Privacy Policy

Transaction Science, Inc. operates TerraOS. This policy describes how we handle the data and telemetry that flow through the platform.
1. What TerraOS Processes
TerraOS processes parcel and title records, booking and tenancy data, utility meter readings, sensor and edge-device telemetry, payment instructions, syndication records, investor identity data, and guest or tenant contact information. Every piece of data is tied to a specific parcel, asset, meter, ledger entry, or identity inside the substrate.
2. Tenant Isolation
Every sponsor, operator, and owner operates in its own tenant with tenant-scoped keys, storage, and indices. Cross-tenant access requires explicit, signed authorization and is logged immutably.
3. Investor & Guest Data
Accredited-investor verification and guest identity are handled via TrustOS. PII is stored with tenant-held keys, not platform-held keys, and is redacted by default from cross-tenant analytics.
4. Payment Data
Payment instructions route through TX Science and SettlementScience. TerraOS retains only the metadata necessary to reconcile the payment to a parcel, asset, and ledger entry. Raw card and bank credentials are not stored on TerraOS.
5. Sensor Telemetry
Edge-device readings (metering, gate access, occupancy) are attested at the device and written to an append-only, hash-chained log. Telemetry is processed for billing, operations, and forecasting only within the tenant that owns the device.
6. Retention
Operational telemetry default retention is 400 days. Ledger entries, K-1 records, title instruments, and syndication records are retained for 10 years or longer as required by law. Customers may extend retention per data class to meet jurisdiction-specific requirements.
